| PRINCETON PRINTS ORIGINAL WATERCOLORS & IRIS GICLÉE PRINTS |
ARTIST'S STATEMENT: These watercolors are an act of love and since they are so labor intensive (sometimes taking up to eight weeks) I am only able to produce 5 or 6 paintings every year. I use only the highest quality materials available. The original watercolors are painted on Arches or Lanaquerelle 300lb. hot press paper. I work very realistically from digital photos that I take, print and use for reference. Many layers of sheer glazes give a luminosity to the color. Working only with primary colors and mixing all the colors from those three basic colors I am able to achieve a very rich and varied palette. Light and shadow are very important to me. In order to please those who would like to purchase a print, I have gone full circle...back to digital. Please read about the fine, limited edition, giclée prints.
VITAE: Studied at Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, PA., and hold a M.A. from Clark University. I was a professional weaver of liturgical vesture until 1999. In 1997, I took a watercolor class at the Worcester Art Museum in Worcester, MA, which opened up a whole new beginning for my creative life. I retired from weaving and am now painting full time! I think that my joy is reflected in my paintings.
